Pizza Oven Buying Guide
The best pizza oven is the one whose fuel, cooking area and thermal behavior match the way you actually cook. Use this guide before comparing brands or prices.

1. Choose your fuel
Gas pizza ovens emphasize convenience. Wood-fired pizza ovens emphasize live-fire cooking. Dual-fuel ovens offer both. Electric pizza ovens can simplify installation where combustion is undesirable or impractical.
2. Size the cooking floor
Think in pizzas, not just centimeters. A 40×40 cm example is naturally different from a 60×80 cm multi-pizza floor. More space usually means a larger appliance, more thermal mass or more energy demand.
3. Understand the floor
Refractory, cordierite and biscotto-style floors do not behave identically. Heat transfer into the pizza base matters as much as air temperature when baking quickly.
4. Consider recovery
If you cook many pizzas for friends or customers, ask how quickly the floor and chamber recover between bakes. A headline maximum temperature alone does not answer this.
5. Verify installation and fuel requirements
Check clearances, ventilation, gas regulators, electrical voltage and local rules before purchasing. Follow the manufacturer's manual rather than generic internet advice.
6. Look at the ecosystem
Peels, stands, covers, thermometers and replacement floor components can materially improve ownership. One example is the pizza oven accessories catalogue offered alongside Pizza Party ovens.
